When you are working your way upstream, casting a nymph rig to the riffle or run in front of you. It’s easy to forget about the water below you. You’ve already fished it, right? But you may be surprised to find fish willing to feed in this water, after just a few minutes’ rest.

In this great episode of “Master Class Monday,” Dave Jensen shows how you can extend each drift with your nymph rig by allowing the indicator and flies to drift past you. By feeding line into the drift, you can extend the time that your flies stay in the strike zone.
