Peak dry flying season is now for most of us, so enjoy it while you can (or after dry flying ends, depending on where you are). You can learn a lot about how to present your fly by watching the rise for a few minutes before throwing directly. And don’t forget, the old cliché of “make sure the first cast counts” is just as valid today as it was way back when Lewis Coleman first wrote it.
