There are many advantages to fishing small streams: no crowds, no boats and fish that are often less fussy. Of course, it’s usually – but not always – about smaller fish. At this time of year, when the valley rivers are sometimes too warm for trout fishing, small mountain streams or spring streams offer the opportunity to fish for trout without fear of overwhelming them.
