Back in February we published the first part of a safety wading lesson Tom is outside, in the rugged Snowy Mountains of Australia. In part two, our intrepid teacher, Jimmy, translates these lessons into real-world scenarios on the Tumut River. He also covers how to cross the river more safely with a partner or group of anglers. Perhaps just as importantly, Jimmy braves the freezing water to show how you should react if you fall in. If you spend any time river fishing, whether you’re a veteran or a novice wader, take this advice to heart.
