The people of Trout fly fishing in Denver have started an instructional video series, hosted by Director of Education and Tour Guide Courtney Despos – who appeared on Tom Rosenbauer’s podcast a few years ago – that will walk you through some of the basic skills you need to get started with fly fishing. Here she teaches you how to build a simple two fly rig from scratch. I especially like her method of tying the dropper knot in her hands before attaching it to the curve of the top fly.
